We are the Windy City NativHawks!

Welcome to the official home of the Windy City NativHawks. We are a men's professional basketball team based in Chicago, Illinois and are proud members of the American Basketball Association (ABA). We compete in the ABA Central Region Black Division.

Our inaugural season will begin in mid-October of 2026 and last through early March of 2027 with the ABA Playoffs beginning immediately after the conclusion of the regular season.

The team was founded in 2026 and is owned by Chadwick Atkins who serves as President of Basketball Operations. With a lifelong dedication to the game and a strategic vision for the future of basketball, Chad is both Native American and deaf.

“My perspective is built on a foundation of extensive on-court experience,” said Atkins. “After competing at various levels for over 25 years, a pivotal hip injury three years ago shifted me from playing the game to building its future. This transition sparked a mission to create a high-caliber organization that prioritizes both elite talent and inclusive culture.”

Under Chadwick’s leadership, the Windy City NativHawks stand as a unique pillar in the Chicago sports community. The organization is dedicated to bridging gaps and fielding a competitive roster. The team is currently in the recruitment process for the upcoming season, actively seeking dedicated athletes for fill out the NativHawks roster.
